Red Faction: Armageddon And LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Demos

A couple of big game demos hit Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network* on the 3rd May 2011. First off we have the Red Faction: Armageddon demo in which you play as Darius Mason as he fights his way through the Martian sewers. You get to unleash all sorts of mayhem with Darius’s signature weapon, the magnet gun.

Read about when happened when I got some hands-on time with Red Faction: Armageddon last month. It was very destructive!

The other demo is for LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean. I probably don’t need to say much about this. LEGO + Pirates + Johnny Depp = Fun. From the looks of the screenshots and the trailer it should be another classic LEGO game.

* Assuming Sony get the network is up and running again.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is due for release on the 13th May 2011 on Wii, DS, PlayStation 3, PSP and Xbox 360. Red Faction: Armageddon is released on the 3rd June 2011 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Nick started gaming in the early 1980s on Nintendo's Game & Watch handhelds before spending a serious amount of time playing Elite on the BBC Micro. Its been downhill since then via ownership of the Atari ST, Amiga, A500 and A1200, PC Engine GT, PS1, PC, PS2, Gameboy Advance, SP and DS, PSP, Wii, PS3, PS Vita, A1200 (again) and PS4 Pro. He likes shoot-em-ups and role-playing games – citing Dungeon Master as “the greatest game ever made” – driving games, the odd platformer and Zelda games.
