On JISTQuantum’s YouTube channel there is a single video entitled – Controlled Quantum Levitation on a Wipe’Out Track. This video shows two wipEout type ships racing around a small-scale track (Moa Therma from wipEout Pulse) that uses a magnetic field to keep them hovering above the surface. So Sony’s started the marketing campaign for wipEout 2048 then. Good job really [...]

Sony Ericsson invited me along to an Xperia PLAY event in central London last week to play some of the hottest games available for the smartphone. To start off the event a few games were demoed on an Xperia PLAY linked up to a massive TV using the phone’s HDMI output. Sadly, this was a special presentation-only Xperia PLAY that [...]

Here's a video of Game Director Stuart Tilley commentating whilst playing the New York track of wipEout 2048 on the PS Vita. Despite his claims, he does a great job of using the tilt and touch controls whilst talking to me about the game.

One of my personal highlights of this year’s E3 Expo was getting my hands on the beautiful PS Vita hardware and meeting some of the team behind wipEout 2048. WipEout was one of the launch games for the original PlayStation when it finally reached the UK on the 29th Sep 1995. This was the start of my love [...]

Tim Wright (aka CoLD SToRAGE) whom many of you may already know as I’ve mentioned his music several times on this site, has just released his latest album called Android Child. I loved his last album MELT with many of those tracks included in my ipod running playlist. His music is great to exercise to and so far it’s helped [...]

Age rating: 3+ What is it? Futuristic racing game with weapons Is it fun? Yes, it`s totally fantastic…but sometimes incredibly frustrating (usually directed at your own inadequate reactions) Is it worth the money? £27.99 Yes, yes, yes! That’s even before you take into consideration the free downloadable extra content! Yay :-) Why? WipEout Pure takes the best bits from the [...]
