Vote Video Game Music into the Hall of Fame

Classic FM Hall of FameLast year gamers around the world voted together to get Aerith”s Theme and the music from Skyrim into the Classic FM Hall of Fame Top 300. This year the campaign starts again, with voting already open on the British radio station”s website. The winners will be revealed over Easter Weekend, 30th and 31st March.

To submit your vote you”ll need to choose your three favourite pieces of classical music. On the theme of games, this can include individual songs or entire game soundtracks. As long as the music is orchestral or arranged for orchestra then anything goes and you can suggest your own if your casino chosen composer isn”t already in the database. They”re asking video games fans to block vote for Nobuo Uematu”s Final Fantasy VII soundtrack over on the “Get Video Games Music into the Classic FM Hall of Fame” Facebook fan page. One of my three is likely to be Austin Wintory”s Journey soundtrack and I”m currently pondering which of Jeremy Soule”s works to include – Guild Wars or Morrowind. I know Skyrim was included last year but I much prefer the soothing sound of his earlier work.
