Need For Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed – Full of Pagani Goodness

NFSShift2Unleashed_PS3 PackShotSmallThe latest game in the blockbuster Need For Speed franchise hits the shops in just over 4 weeks. Need For Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed (NFS:S2U) boasts a roster of 145 cars, 35 tracks, in-helmet cam, night racing, career mode and Autolog.

The Autolog system, which first appeared in Criterion Game’s brilliant NFS: Hot Pursuit (NFS:HP) will no doubt spice up the gameplay with your friends providing all sorts of annoyingly quick times to try and beat. Well, mine did anyway. Thanks a bunch Tom01255 for posting some stupidly quick times on NFS:HP. Grrrr.

NFS:S2U also features a car with a name that sounds like you’re vomiting. The Huayra from Pagani is exclusive to NFS:S2U and looks amazing. I’m huge fan of Pagani’s cars so I’m really looking forward to driving the Huayra in this game.

Doesn’t the car look so pretty and bloody fast? The in-car views look awesome too. I also see that Slightly Mad Studios’ level designers have been moving around London landmarks. Is that St Paul’s cathedral appearing behind the London Eye at 0:46? Hmmm.

Anyone else excited about NFS:S2U?

Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed is released on the 1st April 2011 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
