Video Game Awards 2010 – Trailer Round-up
- Updated: 12th Dec, 2010
If you missed last night’s Spike TVs Video Games Awards, don’t fret as we have a load of the exclusive game reveals/trailers right here for your viewing pleasure. It also means you don’t have to watch a boring awards show to catch the first Mass Effect 3 trailer.
Mass Effect 3:
Is the world going to be saved by Cockneys? On the strength of this trailer, that may well be the case. Anyway, it’s a game by Bioware so it’s gonna be awesome. The trailer does look a bit tasty it has to be said.
Mass Effect 2 is due for release during Holiday 2011 (according to the trailer). Is that Thanksgiving or Christmas, I’m confused?
UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception:
According to Naughty Dog, this trailer shows in-game footage. No pre-rendered stuff here. I’m impressed. The sand looks very sandy and I like how Drake struggles to get to the top of one of the sand dunes. They are tricky things to climb.
UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception is due for release on the 1st Nov 2011.
Batman: Arkham City
Batman: Arkham Asylum was an absolutely brilliant game, easily the best Batman game ever created, until Arkham City maybe? On this evidence Arkham City is looking bloody fantastic. I love the water effects on Batman in particular. Wow. The trailer also reveals who’s the Big Bad of the game – Hugo Strange.
Batman: Arkham City is due for release towards the end of 2011.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim
Warning! This trailer contains no gameplay footage. For such a big game, this is really disappointing.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is due for release on the 11th Nov 2011.
Portal 2:
Portal was mind-blowingly good, so this sequel has a huge amount to live up to. From this and previous trailers, Valve is getting really, really good a character animation. The co-op robots are super cute and funny.
Portal 2 is due for release on the 18th April 2011.
Resistance 3:
In Resistance 3, the Main protagonist -Joseph Capelli – embarks on an epic road trip to New York City, avoiding Chimera Death Squads and dealing with the what’s left of humanity after the devastating Chimera invasion. Sounds like fun :-)
Resistance 3 is due for release during Autumn 2011.
Forza 4:
Another edition in the popular driving series. At this rate we will probably see Forza 10 by the time Gran Tursimo 6 is released. Top Gear are also involved this this game as it will feature some sort of content from the show. No details yet on what this might be however.
Forza 4 is due for release during Autumn 2011.
SSX: Deadly Descents:
I loved the SSX games on the PlayStation 2, so I’m glad to see it back. Disappointingly, there is bugger all gameplay in this trailer. Sad snowboarding Panda.
SSX: Deadly Descents is due for release sometime in 2011 (probably).
