Recorded Amiga Games - Longplay and speedruns

Posted on 18 May 2008 by TheFluffyFist

AMIGA_logoFor those of you who had an Amiga (A500 and A1200) like me, this website Recorded Amiga Games will bring back all sorts of happy memories. In my case it not only bought back memories of playing many, many of the games listed on the site, but also showed me the end levels of games I’d never completed.

Amiga classics like The Secret of Monkey Island, Stunt Car Racer, Turrican 2, Alien Breed II and Flashback are all available to watch in their entirety. Most of the videos consist of someone playing each game from start to finish (longplays), but there are several speedruns as well. Also you can either stream the videos (via YouTube) or download them from the Recorded Amiga Games website.

What with this and a recent post I saw on another blog I’m really into a bit of Amiga nostalgia - what gaming memories I have from back then, Monkey Island, Civilization, Speedball 2 and Powermonger are just some of them.

I’ll have to write my own blog post on this topic I think, thanks!

Yeah, I saw an Amiga post on Rock Paper Shotgun a while back that got me thinking about the Amiga again. Happy times.

I’ll be doing another Amiga based post in the imminent future, that will bring back some more memories :-)

Thats some mad skills in the Project X video.
I found this to be one of the hardest Amiga games. Getting past level 2 almost impossible.
Look forward to more of your Amiga posts.
