A terrorist group called themselves “Inserted Evil” have taken over the site and are redirecting visitors to a propaganda website. Spurious claims about the biotechnology company are being made in a video. We can only hope [...]

10% off at GamerPrint with The Average Gamer

I’ve seen quite a few games T-shirts popping up lately. Even better, most of them now feature T-shirts for ladies. Yay! :) My favourite so far is definitely GamerPrint, but just because they’re UK-based but because… well… because they have this: Dead Rising 2 for the win! I’m thinking of getting the Zombrex t-shirt version for a zombie Halloween costume. [...]

Fallout New Vegas DLC Confirmed for Xbox Live

It’s only 4 days until Fallout: New Vegas is released in the UK (22nd October). We’ve all been drowning in developer diaries, retrospectives and Fallout 3 replays over the past month. I’m so excited that my bf has been forced to ban me from sugary drinks. Allegedly I bounce around the house singing “Off to New Ve-ey-gas on Friday!” far [...]

Developer Diary – Tech and Sound in Fallout: New Vegas

Obsidian Entertainment have released another developer diary for Fallout: New Vegas. They call it the “tech and sound” developer diary, but it’s really all about the guns. Grenade machine guns, elaborate hand-guns, recharger rifles… learn about the different things you can use to blow the crap out of desert fauna and hear what those guns sound like. Pew, pew, BOOM!

Fallout 3 Review (PS3)

What with Fallout: New Vegas coming next month, this seems like a good time to look back at 2008′s Fallout 3. Happy to say that Fallout 3 is a bloody brilliant game. I’m always impressed by the RPGs from Bethesda Softworks and even 2 years after release, this lives up to their high standards. Despite dropping you in the uninhabitable [...]

Fallout 3 Gameplay Videos

I find myself strangely disturbed by Fallout 3 Gameplay video 4. For some reason, the chainsaw bayonet blood splatter in Gears of War is nasty but appropriate. This level of gore in Fallout seems plain Wrong. I don’t know if it’s the slow-motion action or the exploding body parts that are more distateful. Perhaps it’s just that I always had [...]
