The Mass Effect 3 demo is finished and ready for E3 2011, according to Casey Hudson (Exec Producer of Mass Effect Series). BAFTA Games awards head to the US in order to grow it’s presence/membership across the other side of the pond. There’s more PlayStation Network maintenance today, so it will be offline until 7am tomorrow morning (2nd June 2011) [...]

For the uninitiated, the original Crysis was the kind of game that people used to benchmark their computer system. The recommended specification was so high it was positively stratospheric when it was originally released in 2007. Itβs taken four years, but the series has now made the jump to multi-platform status; so when the opportunity came to check out the 360 version of Crysis 2, I jumped at the chance. Has it made a successful transition?

Here’s the latest whizz-bang trailer for the full version of Crysis 2 and not the pirated version of a few weeks back. This game is looking pretty damn cool even though I know I’ll never be able to shoot or kill the guys as shown in the trailer. ‘Tiz not humanly possible! I’m still hoping the giant mechanical snake shown [...]

The latest Crysis 2 trailer focuses on the rather amazing nanosuit that you have at your disposal during the game. Amidst the many explosions, you get to see how the nanosuit’s different modes – armour, speed, power and invisibility can give you the edge in battle. Or just confuse the crap out of you as you mistakenly activate the wrong [...]

If you fancy seeing what chaos humanity is going to cause in the 25th century then check out the Dead Space 2 trailer. Be warned, it does recap all the events of the first Dead Space game, so don't watch is you're planning on playing it any time soon.

Team 17 have announced that the final part of their latest Alien Breed trilogy β Alien Breed 3: Descent β will be released on the 17th Nov 2010. I quite enjoyed Alien Breed 2: Assault even if the gameplay was a little repetitive. However, in terms of scary, horror-type atmosphere the game had buckets of it. So turn the lights off and prepare to get a little jumpy!

What’s missing from a game with aliens, gore, violence, space, guns and horror? Yes, that’s right a nice lullaby and maybe some nudity ;-) Fortunately for us the latest trailer for Dead Space 2 includes all these lovely ingredients*. *Sorry, I lied about the nudity. Dead Space 2 is due for release on the 28th Jan 2011 on PC, Xbox [...]

Weefz asked me the other day if I knew anything about a game called Alien Breed and would I like to review the latest game in the series - Alien Breed 2: Assault on the PC. To which I replied "yeah, I know a little about it, I'll play it ;-)" Well, I played the first Alien Breed game on my Amiga 500 when it was first released back in 1991. I followed the development diary of Alien Breed 2 in Amiga Format every month. Unfortunately when the game was finally released I was a little put off by how insanely difficult it was to play. But, at least it was an interesting development diary though.

Following hot on the heels of Alien Breed Evolution on the Xbox 360 comes Alien Breed 2: Assault. Developed by Team 17 (using the Unreal 3 Engine) who have been responsible for every Alien Breed game to date, Alien Breed 2: Assault: finds the player taking control of Conrad, Chief Engineer aboard the dying ship Leopold and continuing his fight [...]
