Fuse Demo Coming 7th May

FUSE - Group vs Enforcer
EA have announced that a demo is coming on 7th May for their four-person co-op shooter, FUSE. I like the look of Fuse. From the cutscenes I saw at a preview last October and my interview with Ted Price, Insomniac CEO, it looks to me like they’ve spent a lot of time developing the characters and story.

There are two playable women for a start, but it also seems like a decent science-fiction tale. And by that I mean proper speculative science fiction, along the lines of what would happen if we took the real world and introduced this new variable, as opposed to Guns In Space. Yes, there are guns and yes, explosions but it looks like more than that.

I hope.

Here’s the most recent trailer:

Anyone who preorders the game will get the following bonuses:

  • Four Hyperion Prototype Agent Armor Skins. Upgrade your agents’ look with four special, state-of-the-art armour skins discovered inside the top-secret Hyperion Base
    [What’s a “state-of-the-art” virtual skin?]
  • Four Hyperion Prototype Weapon Skins. Customise your Fuse weapons with four skins based on each of the original prototypes developed inside Hyperion Base
[Oh man, these ones aren’t “state-of-the-art”. Must be terrible.]
  • Quickdraw Team Perk. Increase your damage with this team perk adding powerful Fuse elements to all one-handed weapons for all four characters in your squad. [Okay, this one actually sounds useful.]

You can download the Fuse demo from XBLA or PSN from Tuesday 7th May.
