Closed: Win Early Access to Resistance 3 (and Battle: Los Angeles on Blu-ray)

Remember the whacking great big Resistance 3 advert that was in that film, Battle: Los Angeles? Oh, you don’t? The banner was huuuuuuuge, next the petrol station right before it did what all petrol stations do in action films. If you didn’t notice the billboard, you probably haven’t seen the film. Let’s fix that and give you early access to the Resistance 3 demo while we’re at it.

Codes for the Resistance 3 demo will be bundled with the Blu-ray release of Battle: Los Angeles. For those of you who completely missed it when this was in cinemas, Battle: Los Angeles is an alien invasion story following Aaron Eckhart’s Marine-with-a-conscience and Michelle Rodriguez’s stock-in-trade soldier chick through the crumbling streets of war-torn LA. Having been to Los Angeles on a business trip recently (yeah, you know the one), I can testify that yes, it is jam-packed with billboards, overheard freeways and small blocky buildings. Didn’t see any aliens strapped to robots, more’s the pity, but we did get to shoot some bloody scary guns.

Here’s a trailer for the game:

Yup, Resistance 3 is a long way from Los Angeles. You’ll play Joseph Capelli as he destroys the Chimera on his way to St Louis for some reason or another – probably a dead wife or a living child or something, yeah? Prior to the film’s July 11th release, we have three copies of the Battle: Los Angeles Blu-ray to give away to three lucky readers. You’ll get to fight the good fight on the virtual Mississippi 2 months ahead of the full game’s release.

Here’s how to enter:

  3. Email your answer, name and address to me – weefz@theaveragegamer.com before 23:59 on 7th July 2011 (BST)

We’ll pick three winners from the correct entries and contact them by email. Best of luck!

Battle: Los Angeles will be available on Blu-ray and DVD from 11th July. The code inside the pack can be used to download the Resistance 3 demo directly from PSN.
