For A Good Cause

Posted on 11 April 2007 by Weefz

Our very own blogger, TheFluffyFist is will be running the (Flora) London Marathon this year, on Sunday 22nd April. I realise this is not related to video games. He’s been talking my ears off about running techniques for the past 6 months so maybe if I write about it, he’ll stop. Hopefully. Please?

TheFluffyFist will be raising money to support the London Chest Hospital’s Heart Cells Foundation - stem cell research into finding treatments for heart disease. If you want to support him you can a) donate money at JustGiving. Or b) Those of you in London
can turn up along the marathon route and shout “Woooo, Team Taco!” at the tops of your voices as he runs past.

Yes, that’s right. He’s running as a giant taco. See the sponsorship page for a photo. Classy guy.

Good luck Nick - I’m in training myself and hope to be doing something next year for charity myself. People never will know the hard work that goes in to doing a marathon until they do it themselves. Well, now that we’ve seen a pic of TheFluffyFist I really REALLY think we should see a picture of Weefz. Btw, didn’t you score a cutie Ms Weefz!

    Heheh…

You can see a press event photo of me over at You NEWB.

I’m in a couple of those photos too, lurking about in the background!

Just completed my first run dressed as a taco. I got a few funny looks from the other gym users but they just carried on with their workouts as if I wasn’t there. How very british!
Back on the treadmill next week to test out running with the hat and to scare some more people.

Well, aren’t you two quite the celebrity gamers! I am very impressed I must say!
