I found this mildly entertaining flash game, based on Warcraft 3’s Element Tower Defence and Starcraft’s Turrent Defence. I haven’t played either of those so I have no idea how this compares but it’s a good diversion.
It’s pretty simple. Place towers, wait for invaders, watch towers hit invaders with variously coloured-blobs, upgrade towers for next wave. Repeat until castle walls breached.
There’s no pause or save feature. Don’t try to beat it unless you have a good twenty minutes to kill.

I concentrated on building those plant towers, cause they deal the most damage, but i haven´t tried the 3000$ tower, yet. Maybe that`s the key ^^

I’m up to 72 at most. Also concentrated on the plant towers, since they deal 9000 worth of damage fully upgraded. If my calculations are correct the price for them fully upgraded is about $2400, which would make them a better by than the $3000 flower which also deals 9000 worth of damage initially. (next upgrade costs $5000 and deals 15000 worth of damage). Seems I never quite have the time to buy and upgrade such a tower, and since I can still build two plant-towers, fully upgraded for the same price it seems they would be the best. But how to get up to 90 I really don’t know. Any tips are greatly appreciated. Maybe it has something to do with placement?

76 is the highest I have gotten as well. I think the plant towers are the best for the above stated reasons. The flower tower also shoots slower so I don’t think it’s a good option (it says it shoots slower at the begining)

Yeah 76 is the highest, has anyone found a use for storm towers?
I tried the 3k buildings and only got into the mid 50’s and when you upgrade them you loose range :(

I got 83 as the highest. The fully upgraded plant towers have the most bang for the buck - 9,000 damage points with a range of 215 for $2,375.
The best strategy I have is to put the towers at the oncoming corners. The towers fire the fastest - no need for turning.

I also like the plant towers due to the “more bang for your buck” strategy. My best is 73 so far and I threw in a flower tower but discarded that quickly on the next game. Perhaps you need an upgraded flower tower to reach scores of 75+ but I never live long enough for those.
I tried placing the towers on the corners and they do shoot faster, but once the mobs leave their range, thats it. I prefer to put them inbetween two long roads strategically centered so my towers have a good run at them going down one road, and then back up the other.
I’m wondering if you have to strategize about range, with longer range not always being good. I find my towers close to the castle are wasting their time with the lead mob that won’t possibly get killed in time when there is another behind it that could be eliminated if some of the towers worked on that one instead. Thoughts?

OK… just scored a 77 myself. I incorporated my strategy with Cloudrider’s. I start out with two plant towers placed in the field between the first two vertical roads, then, the next plant tower at the bottom of the first road so it shoots head on at the traffic. I upgrade THAT tower first. When money permits, I start placing more plant towers at the end of each road on the corner so it shoots head on into traffic. When I run out of corners to place them, I put them between the middle set of vertical roads, then the top horizontal roads.
I’d like to know how the creator scored 90! Must be an insider trick!

Some may have noticed that the upgrade stats for the earth towers are off. Same with the flower tower. you need 3000 to buy one, but it only costs 2000. Thats the most bang for the buck so far.
And there is an easter egg too! (Hint: buy the flower upgrade…)

best “bang for buck” is the flower tower. u just need capital to buy one but they only 2000 (u need 3 to get one tho). and then the next upgrade for one is 5000 and the damage only 15000, however you lose range, but the nest upgrade is like 900 000 damage but it costs 15000. i rekon this is the way to go but havent found a possible way to get the cash before i lose the castle. at about round 45/50 the money isnt as easy to make.
i dunno this game has me fully hookes and i cant stop thinkin of ways to beat it, but never can any more ideas would be sik

I can now regularly reach Level 78….but I’ll be damned if I can find a way to get higher.
The Green Towers at maximum upgrade are the only “Trick” I can see.
I am seriously beginning to doubt the games author’s claim of reaching Level 90.
Upgrade the Green Towers as soon as possible (1 at a time) to max and then keep adding them.
Placing them near the the middle of the second wall has worked best for me.

Nobody is ever going to be able to upgrade to the Maximum Flower Tower.
There has to be a trick or Easter Eggg that we are missing.
I play the game 15 times a day and so do about 20 people on another forum.
We are stuck at levels 77 thru 79.

Basicly it’s about the bang for the buck ratio. But one factor has been neglected so far. Maximum firing distance will apply the bang over a prolonged time.
An earth tower will provide 22.6% more dmg than the water tower (9000 dmg to 7335 dmg).
On the other hand the water tower will provide the dmg over 39.5% more dst than the earth tower (300 dst to 215 dst).
If we take it that twice the distance will apply twice the bang (you would use a square normaly, but game experience can’t back this up) then we can multiply damage and distance, by the million we get MBs (MegaBang) or KB/s (KiloBang per savings, bear with my word play).
This way the water tower gives a whooping 2.2 MBs where the earth tower only delivers 1.6 MBs. Then again it’s 655 KB/s vs. 815 KB/s in favor of the earth tower… The flower tower has 1.3 MBs, 682 KB/s.

I have played this game once or twice a day for 4 days now. My highest was 69. Each day my highscore has gone up a few levels. I am now on 82, with 83 easily in sight. Plant towers are the best. The extra range of the water tower doesnt make up for the 23% inferiority in firepower. In theory it should, but having experiented with water vs plant, plant easily comes out top by 4-5 lvls.
There is a max level for this game. The hp of the enimies increase exponentially but you money only increases linearly. I dont think the max level is 83. I can see 90 being possible.
Nice analogy with the MBs and KB/s.
As was said earlier, placing towers at the end of roads, so they fire into oncoming traffic gives them some sort of bonus. They seem to fire at an increased rate. With this method 82 is possible.

Wow Tons of info…ive been playing this game for the last 2 weeks everday for about 3-4 hours and ive learned some things:
This game eats your soul.
Secound, placing them at all the corners like Cloudrider is good but theres gotta be a hot spot we are missing also a spot taht rocks is where there corner aimes there only turn towards the left of the screen is a good spot. also it says that each game varies. And ive seen this just by stick one guy in the bottom corner so it shoots up. dont upgrade and watch how many levels till die and the repeat and ive found some last longer. and upgrading that one makes it worse cuase once i got it for lvl 12 off 1 upgrade. (By the way these were all done on the green ones)

I have found that this game will damage your marriage too.. hahah, J/K. I’ve spent many hours in the past few days, and I’m stuck at 70 with primarily water towers, but after reading this, I’m going to try it with the plant towers.

Played this for a few days and got to 71 using mostly plant towers & water towers…
But then:
Totally by accident (I Swear!) I found a way to restart the game with your towers intact. Got to level 99 with all Flower Towers.
But the game starts getting buggy. You let the game run up to about level 60-something (raising money) and try to drop in a new flower tower, and one of the towers you have vanishes!
That’s a loss of $23,000.
My new goal is to get to 100.

I can get to 74
I think the key to around lvl 90 is the ultimate tower, and being able to upgrade to the 3rd level where it provides 900,000plus pts of damage.
simply because of the fact that you will run out of money as the levels progress. so you need to find exponential gains.

just died at wave 83. got there using about 12 green towers.
after experimenting with the flower tower, i am almost convinced it’s impossible to upgrade to the 900k damage.

Level 98 with only nature towers is not possible, even if you are using the glitch that makes the towers shoot faster. At level 81 the maximum amount of fully upgraded Nature towers is 12. At level 98 the maximum amount is 18. I got angry and made an Excel sheet with all the numbers ;). The 6 extra towers between level 81 and 98 cannot possibly kill the enemies considering the 1.25 multiply of their health. Not to mention that you run out of “good” corners to place the towers.
How do i use the restart glitch where i can save the towers from the previous try ?

After playing this game, I pulled the .SWF file out of my browser’s cache.
You can play it as a stand-alone flash file. After the game ends, hit REWIND and PLAY … and all of your towers are still there.

Well i ended up hitting 80 today had all green towers … i find that if you put them in the middle field they shoot a large area of the board, kinda maxamizes the abount of damage they can output, i’m gonna try a minimalist stratagy and see if i can get the uber tower

I do this all the time to take these things to work where the net connection is spotty.
The easiest way to pull a flash game out of your cache is this (your method may have to change depending on what browser/OS you use):
Find your cache folder. it should be full of all kinds of stuff.
Clear the cache using /preferences/ or /tools/privacy/ or whatever method for your browser.
With that empty folder still open, go to the game’s webpage. If you refresh the folder, it should start filling up with maybe 8-10 things. They may have normal names, they may just be weird codes like A343SLR.
What I had to do (I’m using Firefox BTW) was add the .SWF extention to each item in the cache. Some were images, some were HTML pages, but one (about 72KB) is the game file.
I may have found a work-around to the ‘disappearing towers’ bug, too.

I have some questions for you all. I’ve been playing this for a week or so now, but I haven’t gotten to any insane level like most of you, and I was wondering how do you get these extra upgrades spoken of? As far as I had noticed, once you level up a tower to its 3rd Level, it goes dark and I thought that was it. How do you level past that?
Also, I’m playing off the website only, hitting refresh to restart, what are you guys playing it on?

I keep getting 86. Here’s a hint. The Green Towers (when fully upgraded) have the most damage. The Blue Towers Have the Highest range when fully upgraded and the Red ones are abit of both. Get the mushroom which costs 3000. upgrade it and you’ll have 15000 damage! i forgot if u can upgrade it anymore after 15000.

noob… Josh didn’t cheat. I can easily get at least 85 by stacking towers at precise locations, e.g. end of hallway.
Here is a little hint to stack towers without sweat:
First put a tower somewhere, then put the next tower anywhere but not near the first one you built. Now you can stack the third tower on the first tower. And the fourth one can be on the second one and so forth.

I found a very good spot to place a tower. If you out a flower tower in the very center of the screen so it aims head on to the right and is in between the two middle roads, it can be within range of 80%+ of the map when fully upgraded. I got to level 50 with just this tower and one other fire tower.

why hasn’t anyone realized the difficulty in achieving $15 000 at one time without losing? I just got to level 83 and i had 11 fully ugraded green tanks at $2375: 11 x 2375 = $26 125.
Also I had 2 tanks one upgrade away from full at 1275: 2 x 1275 = 2550. 26125 + 2550 = $28 675.
In the bank I had far less than $1000 which makes the TOTAL money possible at level 83 less than $30 000.
To buy ONE flower tower upgraded twice it costs 2000 + 5000 + 15000 = $22 000
This makes it IMPOSSIBLE to afford an uber flower tower without being dead

this is after reading half the tips here. this is crazy. this game does eat away a LOT of you free time (& some that ain’t so free)
anyway. i found that starting with one water and one plant placed in the middle of the first two str8 roads (ungrading when needed) will get you to level 40.
my trouble is what to do next, have tried a lot of things, the corners, all down the middle, any old where . . . . .
i think a money cheat would be nice

I have been playing this game for almost a month now and with all the help here and from other places I’ve FINALLY gotten a score better than anyone I have seen on here who doesen’t use the stacking towers or anything. I got an 89 LEGIT, only using Water and Plant Towers. I always had a feeling that people were ignoring Water Towers too much and I was right…

I used the stacking method and got to level 80. Before that my best was 74. Has anyone figured out what the storm tower if for? It seems pointless to me.

I tried your first advise and i have seen no diference between pressing or not the spacebar (apart from loosing more time). I already knew about resizing the window but i’m trying to do it without any cheat, playing the game as it comes, but i’m starting to think that is impossible (that is what my girlfriend saids :-D). The spacebar trick only works if you kill the guys very fast at the beginning of the level like I did. Use the green tower at the beginning along with the flower fully upgraded.

Hi, I got 82 by placing green towers at the ends of the paths, since it fires faster horisontally and vertically.

I noticed a bug several times. Sometimes when placing a tower, another one will disapear, so I try to place all towers early, even though I might not upgrade them for a long time, if at all, so I don’t risk loosing a fully upgraded tower.
I find that green towers are a bit slow in the beginning, and it can help to use a blue one to start with, while building your green towers.

the highest i got to was 110 … this was by cheatin .. but whatever still the highest i heard of.
the cheat .. when you press [space] to change levels, hold it down prior to level change and continue holding it … the levels rapidly go up. This really does no good since u aren’t prepared weapon-wise, but still a pretty cool glitch. Truly i usually get around 73-74, no clue how to get to 90ish.. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Flash Element TD by David Scott was my heroin… He’s currently working on TD2. first one rocks, and I got to level 39 and within the top 50 scores, but could never crack the 200K mark. So I quit that, and then a friend located this one by Roman. This was my methodone to my heroin addiction (so to speak).
even cheating, I couldn’t get past level 80 or 81. Using some strategies here without cheats I got to 83/84. Highest was maybe 86 I think. But I can’t get past that. Spacebar is a cool trick, but not definitely not effective. So how do I quit this game?
easy: hacked version… it’s a totally different game when you have virtually unlimited funds.
I believe I’m now over this addiction.

I think you guys are not giving the ice tower enough credit… there are other factors than distance and power… the speed of the ice towers shots of a distance is greater than the living tower… so innitially you do best with one ice tower maxed and the rest living towers…. so far i havent been able to survive long enough to upgrade the flower tower more than once… because playing it seems like a death wish. but seriously find the centre of the board and place the ice tower there once upgraded it should hit everywhere and very fast… not to start anything but im not buying that anyone has done better than 77 pts.

The ice towers go up first and get upraded to max, doesn’t matter if you do each one at a time or together, I think the ice towers are a key, they do less damage but hit far more times.

Can get to any level really. Place one tower in to kill the first wave, and while it’s killing them, hold the space bar.Keep holding, and it glitches, and cycles through waves and appears to just stop at any point as far as i can tell. You’ll end up dying at the hands of wave one hundred and X monsters with nothing but a basic tower.
But playing normally i can get to around 74.

I got to level 80 after reading these posts (maxing around level 66-67 before). The trick is using greens (as stated, most bang for your buck) upgraded fully and putting them on the outside of a turn. For example, if this L were a turn and the dots were coming from the top, place the cannon in line with the downward line of the L on the outside. This doesn’t maximize range, but it maximizes rate of fire, more than making up for the two shots or so you would get by the extended range of putting it on the inside. I hope with some replacements, I can easily get 82-84 next time.
I tried a very minimalist approach with one fully upgraded green, then building a flower, but the first upgrade of the flower is almost useless, and i was unable to get enough money for a second upgrade before losing.
By the way, I also experience the glitch someone mentioned earlier about the tower despawning when one builds another close to it. I only had this problem when building a new green in close proximity (diagonal and touching) to a fully upgraded green.
By the way, as evidence for the outside of the turn being better than inside, i did a test with the hacked version (which I am assuming follows the same physics) with a fully upgraded (900K) flower tower at level one on the outside and a second with 1 full flower on the inside of the second turn and let them run. The inside got to level 76, the outside level 96.

Man this game is like crack. My best was only 73. One water/ice tower in middle placement can hold by itself to level. My best score was stacking 2 ice towers in very mid. Surrounding with like 5 living towers. I mean the thing is you want to maximize the creeps getting hit at all times. You can argue that plants are stronger and cheaper versus ice, but ice from the mid can hit where living can’t hit from mid, so you have to take that into account. Also, its tough to tell without knowing attack speed rates. I’ve tried all strats from all one breed to mix. I think the canon is a waste, attacks to slow and costs too much. I don’t see how it’s possible to get the level 3 upgrade.

Amazing how many people are addicted to this simple flash game huh?
I’m still trying to figure out a strategy to legitimately get the 909090 damage double upgraded flower tower, also 90 range. I don’t know if its possible, I’m trying 3 fully upgraded plant towers at approx = 2400 a piece is 7200.
When you PURCHASE the initial plant tower it says it costs 3000 money but actually only uses 2000, so total cost is 22,000 as far as I can tell.
Not sure how long it takes to get 29,200 or if 3 plants and a single upgraded flower tower can get me there.
I’m really liking the “shooting faster on the outsides of corners” strategy, but did the creator of the game really intend for it to do that?
and is 86 the highest legitimate score? I disagree with the tower stacking (and can’t figure it out) and people are obviously using the spacebar hack to get higher than that. The guy with 96 is hacked, hes got 4 maximum flower towers at entrance.

I got to level 82 with out cheating. I don’t see how the creator got 90. It was just a thought but does anyone know if the elements working together would be more effective? Like fire and earth burning and causing a reaction or something like that.

I can get to 83 consistantly, but theres a limit with the money you get. a few things tho:
1. green are easily the way fwd.
2. the creator got 90 cuz he used the version b4 which had no ranges, so its a diff game essentially. so anyone who got legit 80+ well done, you might aswell give up now… you aint getting to 90 :)

I just found out that the game gets all glitchy if u hold down the spacebar the entire time. As soon as you kill a wave of them the levels speed through. It will go up like 40 lvls! It sucks tho because when it’s that drastic of a change ur towers can’t defend so you lose fast. Anyways, just thought I’d share this cool glitch with u guys. Try it out.

Hey Guys
I just found something. I’m not gonna work out the formula, but if you use the hacked version and the cheat, go up to level like 100. It takes a ridiculous amount of fully upgraded flower towers to kill the creeps. From all the tricky maths mentioned earlier, we know that this is not possible to achieve given the maximum amount of money you can get, so there is most definitely a finite limit to the amount of levels you can possibly achieve. I could work through it and watch how many hits at 90909 it took to kill a creep and work out their health, but I’ll leave that to someone else. From there, surely we can work out pretty easily the highest level you can possibly get to, pending placement of course.

i have found that to get to 75 u need 4 water and 3 plants all stationed in the center that way they get them the whole map, plus max out ur water first because they cover more ground, then max ur plants,any tips for getting past 75?

I got a score of 89. Don’t buy the flower tower and if you do don’t updrade, just buy another one. Buy two waters once you begin and upgrade them. Then buy only plants. They are well worth it. Place them near the edges at first to cover multiple areas since they have good reach. Then keep buying more and upgrading them. I finished with at least 50 living trees. It is hard and takes a lot of time and strategy but GOOD LUCK!!!

Quick beginners strategy if you don’t want to cheat and you can’t or won’t stack:
1. Build a plant tower at the bottom of the 1st straight and upgrade it once.
2. Kill the 1st wave of blobs.
3. During the 2nd wave of blobs, you should get 40 and can upgrade again - be poised.
4. a couple of waves later you get 80 and can upgrade again. You now have a breather to plan future strategy.
5. The best results are firing directly down a long straight at oncoming blobs. Consider that when placing future towers - and plants are generally the best.

the best way to get to wave 60 without any trouble is at the very start build a water tower and place in the middle sort of. after that just work on upgrading it the whole way. Don’t worry if you upgrade it like 4 levels it’s range becomes big enough to reach the beginning all the way to the castle. After you upgrade your first water tower all the way in the middle. Build your second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth water tower in the middle area and don’t waste your time and money putting them somewhere else b/c me and my friends worked out a strategy that gets you through wave 65 and plus. also after you have the water towers build a couple of earth towers and upgrade them around the same area as the water towers and station them around the entire path b/c if you’re at wave 75 or plus then they’ll start getting close to the castle and earth towers, if upgraded the whole way have 9000 damage so carefully place water and earth towers. DEFINITELY !!!!! don’t waste your money on fire towers or clouds b/c you can’t upgrade clouds and fire not only have a sucky range after being fully upgraded but compared to a earth and water tower it has a lower attack. If you a lot of water earth towers fully upgraded then you can work on putting those 5000 dollars or (wutever currency you go by) on the path. Dont start working on those b/c they only become good after they are fully upgraded and that takes like 15,000 dollars just to get it up one level at one point in the game
SO FOLLOW THIS STRATEGY AND IT SHOULD GET YOU PRETTY FAR IN THE GAME. AND REMEMBER THIS STRATEGY IS FOOLPROOF AND IS ABLE TO GET YOU TO LEVEL 60 AND PLUS WITHOUT A EASY. AFTER 65 IT GETS TOUGHER. IF YOU ARE HAVING A TOUGH TIME JUST GETTING TO 50 THEN YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY DOING SOMETHING WRONG

My best is level 85, I constantly get around 83 too just buy t nature towers and put them at the end of the hallway and upgrade on placed closest to the start of the path to the highest you should be able to get to level 70 with that killing half of them of the bat and then use the rest of your money building nature towers at the end of hallways and fully upgrading them ONE AT A TIME!!! nature towers give the best damage and in the end they are the cheapest and have better range than fires.

Hi, I got up to 93 using a little bug in the game. If you hold down space while in the game and insert a tower over another and hold pace, the wave number jumps up by around 30.

i just found a glitch! im using nature tower right now so i dunno if it works for all towers but what you do is you put a nature tower at the bottom left corner of the first 180 turn then u place one at the top right corner of the second 180 turn and then u can stack nature towers right on top of ur first one

Max out at 85, cant get any higher. 90 would be possible, I believe it would have been just possible but thats about the highest. http://youtube.com/watch?v=pPk2OmMQVfk can leave, especially with that placement its not possible to even get to like 80. If you didnt notice… if u had gotten to 103 then you would have killed at least 1 of the oncoming guys. plant towers is best method at end of lines, has anyone tried anything else at the end of lines?

THERE ARE CHEATS!!!
First u build towers at wave 1. Hold Spacebar. Once the towers have killed the enemies the wave will increase rapidly, without any enemies appearing. (WARNING this cheat may not work all the time but if it does work it could be really hard)

ok i herad of a cheat here it is dont build at start hit space bar then build when they start comeing down the road its realy hard cheat to work but it adds 2 MORE IMCOME most people cant get it to work but its realy usefull if you get it working then its possable to get the flower tower to ULTAMTE FORM but it cost 150000…

I got a 75.
I put started with the fire towers,
[Because they give the most bang
for when you only have a couple bucks
to blow…]
I put them on the left collumn
for building.
Then I put some water towers
on the left side of the middle collumn
(for building). [Dont spend much money on
the water towers or fire towers you build.
You should only need 2 of each kind before buying
Earth towers. And maybe one upgrade on each type.]
And saved up money using
both of the fire and water.
I used that money
that I saved and used it for builing
the earth towers. Which I put on the right hand
side of the collumn (for building)
Upgrade these puppies till they’re maxed out.

Placement and type of tower is all you need for this game.

I know a way to go past lvl 147……>_> its just a really bad glitch but make any tower, and just hold space and NEVER let go…after the first swarm dies, your level goes up until you let go(this doesn’t always work, but most of the time it does)

Well the fully upgraded flower turret is just a big fat tease! impossible to get! its pretty easy to get to wave 81 just by stacking green turrets.

used that until i get 3 k, then i made a flower tower in between 1st and second road, and upgraded it to the 3rd 1 (900 k damage!!! costs 15 k) once upgraded, i make more flower towers next to the original and upgrade them :)

i got to level 83 without cheating
i started with 1 fire tower at the bottom of the first loopthing
then a water in the loop thing closes to the castle
then the 3000 in the second loop thing
*don’t get the tower that cost 20*
i got to about level 60 then added another fire tower at the very begining of the track
and another water on the other side of the road adjacent to the other water tower
and another plant tower just above the second water tower
i got killed whilst i was waitng to upgrade the 3000 tower
*note- you have to upgrade each tower asap except for the expensive one*
i recomment saving for that once you have 8 towers
ahhh finished….. theres my method

put fully upgraded water towers on the long one and the nature towers on the shorter ones for the best effect
havent fully tested it but soudns like it shoud work :P
