I know this isn’t exactly new news but…

R-TYPE RETURNS AT LONG LAST!!!

Yep indeedy, R-type is a comin’ to the Wii (via virtual console) – nice.

R-TYPE – Woooo!!!

Shame this site won’t allow background images :( , could really do with a scrolling starfield right now.

Author: Kinda average gamer, who makes games as well as playing them.

Game likes: Both old and new games, especially if sparkling with originality. Also have a soft spot for classic shmups and quirky obscurities.
Game dislikes: Lazy sequels from any genre, oh and most sports related games.
Currently playing: Shadow of the Colossus, Quake3, Every Extend, Wipeout Pure (99 golds so far...)

    I know it won’t be possible, but how cool would it be to play a side scrollin shmup using the Wii RemotoCon*?
