Japanese handheld sales graph

Flickr user Polg has made a nice chart of PSP and DS console sales over the past year showing the DS consistently outselling the PSP. Hardly surprising given the range and type of games though. It even has little notes explaining spikes like the release of the pink DS! (Nasty cheap-looking thing. I much prefer my blue one). Check out the full-sized graph here.

On another note, apparently as a nation we’ve spend more money than ever before on games this year – £1.35 billion! Pity it was mostly on yawnsome football sequels FIFA 06 and Pro Evo Soccer 5.
