The Average Gamer

Want to make videos of your console game triumphs?

Adaptec GameBridge The Adaptec GameBridge is a handy (but not cheap) little device that lets you connect games consoles directly to a PC/laptop and play games on the PC monitor. Useful if, like me, you don’t have much space and don’t want to pay for a TV licence you’re never going to use. The main thing that sets this apart from other console-monitor adaptors is that it lets you record videos and take screenshots of your games to prove to your friends that they suck and you rule. (Obvious, I know, but a little proof comes in handy) It can also hook up your VCR to your PC and archive all those old home videos to VCD format. There are devices that let you do this stuff already but this is the first compact all-in-one that I’ve seen.

The TV tuner version is US$100 (and you will need a TV licence for it) and the basic version is $70 not including shipping, VAT charges and all that stuff.
