Nintendo have announced that Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be released in the UK on the the 11th June 2010. I really loved the first Super Mario Galaxy game, and still feel it is the best game currently available on the Wii.

However, this sequel is looking pretty tasty after watching the trailers and seeing the screenshots. I have high hopes for this game and will be pre-ordering it so I can play it on the 11th June 2010. It will be interesting to see what adding Yoshi brings to the game and Mario’s new skills.

Super Mario Galaxy is out now and Super Mario Galaxy 2 is released on the 11th June 2010 only on Wii.

Given Nintendo’s track record of churning out sequel upon sequel, it comes as no surprise what-so-ever that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is in the pipeline. However, the first Super Mario Galaxy game was really, really good. So much so I played it constantly until I’d finished it (and then never touched it again!).

On the basis of this latest trailer, we can expect pretty much more of the same but with added Yoshi. So, I’m pretty happy with that.
