Dead Island is a survival role-playing game set in a zombie apocalypse. It's really rather horrific. There are zombies all over the streets, your weapons are falling apart and everywhere you look survivors are moaning about their inhaler or their diabetes or their missing loved ones. Good GOD, people, THERE ARE BRAIN-EATERS OUT THERE! Give me a cattle prod and I'll think about looking for your fancy-schmancy "insulin". It's always the druggies that survive, isn't it?

Brink first grabbed my attention way back in December 2009, when Splash Damage released some very impressive videos, showing off the SMART free-running movement system and objective based gameplay. Brink appeared to have some great unique selling points, that would help it stand out in a sea of generic first person shooters, not least of which was the much vaunted eight player drop-in co-op feature. Now having finally been released to the world, how does the finished game match up to the initial hype?

On Friday 6th May, original UK release date of Duke Nukem Forever, a crowd of games journalists were summoned to the back room of a bar and plied with drink, mini burgers and boob-shaped cupcakes. On the big screen was a bevy of large-breasted CG “beauties” and off to the left was a sweet 4 vs 4 setup running none [...]

There’s a crisis in Patch Land. Yin-Yarn the evil sorcerer has ruthlessly taken over and enslaved everyone. Worse still, whole fabric of Patch Land has been unravelled leaving it in pieces. Six pieces if you’re counting. Fortunately, a yarntastic Kirby is on hand to save the day and stitch Patch Land back together. Ok, the plot to this game is [...]

Those lovely people at Naughty Dog have released a trailer and a bunch of tasty looking screen shots showing off the multiplayer mode from Uncharted 3. They’ve also announced the dates for the multiplayer beta, which I’ll come onto later. Uncharted 2′s multiplayer was pretty awesome and huge amounts of fun to play, especially the co-op missions. So I’m expecting [...]
