Want your message on our site? No problem. We’re pro-equality, against racism, sexism and homophobia. We also firmly believe that video games are unconnected to real-world violence unless maybe if they’re used as a substitute for love. If you or your message disagrees with any of the above, please leave now.
If you are with a video games company, feel free to send us stuff to review. Don’t get all huffy if we don’t give it a glowing review - that’s the whole point of our site. Honest opinions, no fanboyism, jaded journalism or bribery. Send us a better game next time ;) Contact our editor to get the postal address.
For those who want to buy ad space…
The Placement
You can buy one of three ad slots.
- A 300×250px rectangle in the sidebar above the fold on every page
- One of two 125×125px buttons in the sidebar below the fold OR a 250×125px box if they’re both available
- A 468×60 banner between the comments and the post body on every individual post page
The Stats
The Average Gamer is just over 2 years old.
We had a PageRank 5 until January 2008 when it dropped to a PageRank 4. This doesn’t seem to have affected our traffic from Google but we’re working hard to regain the rank with a complete site design overhaul and increased quality of posts.
As of January 2008 we have just over 500 posts and counting.
We receive approximately 38,000 unique visitors a month with just over 58,000 pageviews in December 2007.
Our audience is approximately 30% US-based, 25% UK and the rest in Europe and Canada. We run OpenAds and can target any geographic region you require at no extra charge.
The Rates
All rates quoted are ROS (Run Of Site). If you want a daily cap on impressions, we can set that up for you.
