Gone with the Sims?

Gone With The Sims Characters
EA Games are, for some reason, enacting a sitcom called Gone with the Sims in real time across Twitter that features four principal Sims:

There are also a few associated accounts like Don Lothario (seriously?) and the offical Gone With The Sims gossip account, Sul Sul. That means “Hello” in Simlish.

EA Games are working with MediaCom Beyond Advertising, TED and comedy production company The Wagon to produce Gone With The Sims. It’s certainly an interesting experiement. While the idea seems to be to let the drama play out in public, anyone jumping in late is probably better off following the action on the tumblr account or the SulSul list that pulls everyone together in chronological order. I guess it’s some kind of Gossip Girl scenario?

Must admit, I’m surprised they’re playing this out over Twitter instead of live on Twitch somewhere. I guess it’s a lot harder to script those moments when your characters might have the wrong emotions and start shacking up together in the wrong combinations.

Here’s a sample of the kind of drama that’s playing out over the next two weeks. Gifts, jealousy and arguments, oh my! I’ll shall report back next week if anything salacious happens.
