E3 2012 – More on Medium (Sort of)

On 24th May I put up scans of a mysterious card that we received in the post. It appears to be for a game called Medium. I visited the website listed on the envelope, did some detective work and deduced that it was something to do with Krakow-based company Bloober Team.

Two days ago I received another email from the Medium email address. Here’s the text and a screenshot of the formatting as displayed by Gmail.

8+8:

Being the enterprising young blogger that I am, I knocked on the door of Bloober Team’s booth at E3 today. When I asked about the game, I was greeted with a quizzical look.

Bloober Team Man: “Are you sure this is Bloober Team?”

Me: “Uh… that’s what the URL registration said.”

“You’re talking about medium dash game dot com?”

“Yup.”

“Hmm. It’s not exactly Bloober Team, you know. But here, all I can tell you is this.”

And he handed me a small piece of paper. It’s just standard plain white paper, cut into a rectangle about an inch wide. There’s nothing on the back and only a single word, handwritten in blue biro on the front.

Help me out, Internet. I’ve checked the Medium game website again and not seen any changes from 24th May. What’s the significance of “8+8:”? Is the colour important? Why does my piece of paper say “CALLED”?
