The Average Gamer

Closed: We Dance Pack Giveaway

We Dance was released on the Wii last week, an up-and-coming game that tracks your dancing with the Wiimote AND a dancemat. To celebrate, we’re giving away a copy of the game plus a dancemat. Hooray!

As you know, I love my dance games. The Just Dance series is great for parties but the more hardcore dancers get frustrated with the knowledge that you’re basically just waving one hand around. We Dance fixes that by using the Wiimote and a dancemat to track your footwork.

You could win this

Every dance in the game has been choreographed by professionals to be a proper dance routine. We Dance takes a slightly different approach to difficulty – rather than giving you more repetitions of few steps on easy mode, it introduces you to the parts gradually. Easy mode is the Wiimote moves only. Medium is just the dancemat footwork. Hard requires you to coordinate the two together.

There’s a full tutorial for those who want it, or you can jump straight into the dances.

As well as the dances, there’s a series of minigames; Jump, Step and Pose. We Dance is a great game for families or for getting people moving at a house party. (Uh… neither Nordic Games nor The Average Gamer can be held responsible, should one of your guest imbibe a little too much and injure themselves on a dance mat. Stay safe out there!)

See the trailer in our previous post for a snippet of the types of dance and the songs available in We Dance.

On to the competition! All you have to is leave a comment on this post telling us what your favourite song to dance to is when there’s nobody around to watch you (or hear your shameful taste in music). We’ll pick a winner at 7pm on Sunday 18th September and notify them by email so please use an active email address. Also keep an eye on our Facebook page for bonus ways to enter.

We can only ship the prize to addresses the UK and Ireland. Sorry, overseas fans!
