PlayStation Home – EA Sports Complex

PS3-Home

EA has announced that it will be supporting Sony’s PlayStation Home with ads a sports complex due to arrive in the spring of 2009. So all that time spent waiting for the arcade machines, or wandering around can now be spent wandering around a sports complex and waiting to play its multiplayer games (or the ads to load) instead.

According to EA:

“We’re proud to support the PlayStation Home Beta with a very robust offering from EA SPORTS,” said Peter Moore, president of EA SPORTS. “As part of our continued commitment to the connected experience and the digitization of our business, the EA SPORTS Complex is a rich new online environment that presents a compelling and immersive social gaming experience for the global sports audience.”

Lots of ad’s then, just like this screenshot (at the rest of Home):

There is a video showing something other than ads in this sports complex, so there is still hope.
