What is it?

No. You can finish the game in about 15 mins and there’s very little to entice you back.
Why?
Ok, I was really, really, really bored in Subway (mmm, toasted chicken and bacon ranch baguette) one day so I fired up JC does Texas on my Sony Ericsson W810i to pass the time!
This is totally a one trick pony game. Launch JC out of a cannon and press the joystick to “flap” his arms to adjust his trajectory to collide with thunderclouds, birds, planes, hot air balloons and washing lines (even a cow’s backside!) before running out of energy (every flap uses up a little bit) and crashing down to earth. That’s it. There is some element of skill required to fly into the target object required to open up the next level, like a washing line, but other than this it’s a very basic and repetitive game.
The other limitation of Johnny Crash is that there are only 12 levels available, so once you work out where everything is on each level you progress through the game very quickly. Ok, yes, there is the added incentive to achieve the top reputation (i.e. high score) on each level, but once that’s done then nothing’s left to do. Nada. Zip. Next level please matey.
So in summary, play it if you have the game pre-loaded on your phone otherwise it’s not worth the cash.

I’m glad I’m not the only one addicted to this daft game. My high scores are:

I can see how it’s possible to get up to maybe 65000, but beyond that you’d have to find stuff that wasn’t obvious (UFO’s maybe, which I’ve never got to). Generally I find vultures and oil pumps are awful because they’re so unpredictable where they chuck you, so I much prefer combinations that use clouds, crows, planes or balloons. Whirlwinds are a bit unpredictable too but not as bad.
I’m pretty sure there’s nothing at the end, just crows, crows and more crows, and nothing on the ground to land on either.
I cant get the X8 all i get is X6. is there a way to increase your speed?????????????
Also i get so high the sky is black (no lines) But dont become weightless. How do you do it????????

Just got my first 50k! Was a bit annoyed though because at the end I was heading straight for a cow to finish it but inexpicably pressed the button right at the end so missed it. I ended up with 51715 but should have been 52615 if I’d hit the cow. Still, at least I know that it’s possible to beat my score now. My top 5 scores are:

I let you in on a little secret! To get 8*combo at the start, you have to make an almost perfect start. Shoot out so that johnny’s feet sweep the clouds. then hit the first thundercloud, give johnny some gas inbetween the two clouds. Just as you are leaving the second cloud you should give johnny a little boost. The goal is to hit the planes tail. When I say the tail I meen at the tip! A nice indicator to have is to look at your score when you hit the tail
your score should be between 2929 and 2945. To be guarantered a 8*combo you should get 2932. Sorry for the badly written english, but I’m allowd. I Norwegian. But I promise it works. I’ve done it hundreds of times. By the way, my hiscore is 56621. Struggling to get to 60000. okey, enjoy

First I want to say: Great job MasterOfTexas, I have watched your vid on youtube and it’s impressive, thanks for uploading it.
My current highscore is a meager 49.535 and I know there is loads of room for improvement still, as I have been missing tons of value even during my best flight.
I have been thinking about the level setup and I have found a combo that should be worth 40-50k alone, if you manage to hit it, but it would be a once in a lifetime shot. Here it goes:
After about 1/4-1/3 of your typical flight distance there are two oil rigs quite close to each other, which are the first oil rigs in this level. Here you should avoid the oil fountain as it makes it almost impossible to steer afterwards. Instead hit the first bird after the fountain then climb a bit and hit two birds, immediately followed by a plane. If you managed your ascend correctly you will drop down quite sharply after the plane, hitting two birds in your drop, followed by a lightning cloud and a vulture. If you are super lucky, the vulture will now take you through two birds into a tornado. Now you need the once in a life-time shot: If you did everything correctly, you are now at a 11x multiplier when you hit the tornado. If everything goes perfectly, the tornado will take you through the bird on your ascend and then right into both balloons which are up there really close to each other. You will hit the first balloon with a 13x and the second with a 14x bonus multiplier. This combo alone should be worth 50k points, if you hit every step that I mentioned.
Stunts after multipliers:
3 birds: 100+200+300
plane: 1,600
2 birds: 500+600
lightning cloud: 2800
vulture: 4,800
2 birds: 9,00+1,000
tornado: 9,900
1 bird: 1,200
1st balloon: 13,000
2nd balloon: 14,000
Overall: 50,900
Unluckily I haven’t managed to do this combo as it requires an insane amount of luck, but I am quite sure it should be possible. I have already hit all parts of it but never everything in a row, which is why I am so convinced it is a possible combo. If anybody manages to hit that combo he should easily break the 80k mark and I would be glad if that person could upload a vid of this combo. Meanwhile I will try to hit it myself ;)

I thought i,m the only one who hit the heighest score.but hatsoff 4 all the flyers who scored more than 60k(if they really done)bcoz i play daily even in my office timings.and u know what my best score is 31,000.and i thought mine waz best.
After the initial 6X or 8X, most of your flight depends on the vultures that carry you.
Sometimes you get lucky and may bang into a series of things.
There is another period in the middle, it begins on top of an oil spray (the 1st oil spray, I guess), the trick is not to hit the oil spray but just hover above it, u get 2 birds, a plane, again 2 birds, a cloud, a bird & the vulture to get an 8x. Its easier to get the 8x out here rather than the earlier place.

Fenris, you summed up exactly what I've been trying to do. Just like you, I have hit all parts of what you've described separately (including the balloons at 7x and 8x respectively). I am convinced it's possible to string all of that together. Keep us all posted.

it was damn difficult
69420 high score…i was so pissed i didnt hit 70000. I think 80000 is possible. When i first started I thought the highest would be 50000. This game is so addictive. I sit on the can at work and play a good hour a day followed by a good hour or two at night. I need my phone to break so it stops ruling my life. Other high scores are 67591, 67288, 65442, and 63785
High score 49305, i’m sure I can go higher thought………i keep trying to get a combo which would be about 13x!! So hard to get it though, I’m sure it’s possible
Haha, woho! Indeed this is a good shitting game. My top score is atm 41862 but I’m increasing it on a daily basis! Looking forward to beat 50000.
