The Half-Life 2 Episode 1 website is now live. You can get to it here. The website contains the usual blerb about the game and stuff to download (wallpapers, screenshots and a nice trailer to wet your appetite). This is the first in a series of episodic games following on from the end of HL2 and using the HL2 game engine (Source). Why did they give it such an oddly misleading title? We don’t know either.
Here’s the details:
- Release date: 1st June 2006 (In the shops and on Steam)
- Steam Pre-loading date: 1st May 2006
- Cost: $18.99 (10% discount if pre-purchased)
You don’t need HL2 in order to play this as it is a stand-alone game, although you really should play HL2 as it’s a brilliantly crafted game and great fun. You also might have some clue as to what’s going on as well!
