Silent Hill film – new trailer hits

A few months back they released an interesting looking teaser trailer for this game-film tie in. Although it looked very faithful to the game aesthetically (silent hill 3 in particular), it didn’t give away much about the plot.

This new trailer gives a few more clues to what it’s all about. It has some nice touches that reminded me of the old PS1 original (notably the air raid siren, and the alternate hell-like environment), and overall seems to be a blend of all the games rather than just being based on any one. Hopefully this means that they will be picking out the best bits for use in the film, and it won’t be added to the growing list of inadequate game-to-film conversions (Doom, House of the dead, Bloodrayne, Alone in the Dark…)
