Casuality Europe - Keeping the industry fun

Casuality logoThe Casuality Europe conference takes place in Amsterdam on the 7th, 8th and 9th Feb 2006. Registration is pretty cheap [ho, ho - Weefz] at $300 and according to one of the voluntary organisers Jessica Tams (Trymedia Games):

“This conference represents the first conference in Europe dedicated to the casual gaming space which has been largely ignored by the mainstream gaming industry as a respected gaming industry. With this conference we are hoping to raise awareness about our industry and the rapid revenue growth predicted.”

She also goes on to explain what a “casual game” is:

“A casual game is platform agnostic, can be played in micro time spaces — whether that be one minute, two minutes or even two weeks straight and finally it’s easy to learn to play and hard to master.”

So if you’re a casual game developer, publisher and distributor or just at a loose end in Amsterdam in Feb then check out Casuality Europe and tell us what you thought of it.
