King’s Quest fans now licensed

Posted on 12 December 2005 by Weefz

Phoenix Studios are a bunch of King’s Quest fans who thought the last installment of the series was rubbish ‘leaves many “loose ends” and unanswered questions’. They’re developing a freeware sequel which has officially been sanctioned by series owners, Vivendi (after Vivendi shut them down and other fans organised a petition to save them).

There’s nothing to play yet but if you were a fan of the original King’s Quest series, keep an eye on KQIX The media section isn’t very Firefox-friendly, the existing trailers require Flash and aren’t really worth downloading, but it’s a promising start!
