No Crafting In The Next Update To Minecraft: Pocket Edition

Daniel Kaplan, business developer at Mojang has announced that the next update to Minecraft: Pocket Edition will not include crafting. To add survival mode and crafting to the game Mojag is having to make major changes to the game code and the UI as it was never in their original plan for the mobile versions.

The next update will include:

New blocks and animals
Doors and fences
Bug fixes
Foundation code for survival mode

Mojang plans to submit this update to the Android Market and the iOS App Store by the 8th Feb 2012.
