Evolve in London is a day-long conference focusing on how to develop games for new platforms, new technologies and new markets.
Tandem Events has joined forces with Edge and Future to launch an event for game developers that will share the visions of some of the most progressive thinkers in the interactive entertainment industry.
Tadhg Kelly has been working in games for 20 years – he is a videogame designer, writer, producer and start-up founder as well as a columnist for Edge. His presentation – titled ‘Knowing Our Place: Why Games Should Sit at the Head of the Media Table’ – looks at how the tendency to defer to other media as superior art forms is the biggest challenge facing game makers, and how they can overcome it.
Mark Sorrell is development director at Hide&Seek. His presentation is titled ‘Winning The Living Room’ and looks at how the evolution in technology that led to free-to-play casual games becoming the biggest growth area in the games business is now headed to the living room and how developers can take advantage of this.
