News Roundup: Battlefield 3 Beta, wipEout 2048, Cut The Rope on DS and more

Battlefield 3: The beta for Battlefield 3 was announced today. It will start on 29th September 2011 on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. More beta details on the Battlefield site.

Nintendo eShop: Popular iOS title, Cut The Rope is available on the 3DS through the Nintendo eShop this week. Also releasing: Anonymous Notes Chapter 2 – From The Abyss (Try your hand at defeating the terrifying boss monster lurking in the darkest depths and use the “Soul Capture” attack to steal each monster’s magic and other skills.); and 3D Classics TwinBee (Pilot the TwinBee fighter craft and defend Donburi Island. WipEout 2048: The new Tokyo Game Show trailer includes footage from the new grassy Metro Park track. This means we have seen 5 of the 10 new tracks from the game (Metro Park, Empire Climb, Unity Square, Queens Mall and Sol). WipEout 2048 will be playable at the Eurogamer Expo which starts on Thursday.
