10 years ago Valve software released Half-Life on the PC. They’ve not done bad since! Happy birthday Half-Life, and thanks for the memories…and all the lovely games Valve has made since…and Left 4 Dead (out now!).
Half-Life is 10 years old!

Nick is a 36 yr old male gamer. It all started back in 1984 with a little known game on the BBC Micro called Elite and its been downhill since then via ownership of the Atari ST, Amiga, A500 and A1200, PC Engine GT, PS1, PC, PS2, Gameboy Advance, SP and DS, PSP, Wii and most recently the PS3. He likes first-person shooters and role-playing games – citing Dungeon Master as “the greatest game ever made” – driving games, the odd platformer and the Zelda games. 2 Comments

I remember getting half-life back in 1999 but i never got into because of quake 1 & 2. I picked it up in 2004 to play counter-strike. Now is a good time to get HL valve has it for .98 cents.
Do I sound bitter if I say that Steam still annoys me to this day?
I went back to Half Life 2 but for me it could never, ever match up to the excellence that was Half Life.
