HI, I am here to let you know that you do not need to cancel your cards in order to remove them from your xbox.
In order to remove your card your account must be SILVER!!
that’s right, no credit cards can be removed from accounts that are currently enjoying a GOLD membership.

In order to remove the card do this:
1.call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX
2. tell the IVR “billing”
3. ask the agent to remove your card, —-> you will now be told that they cant remove it from a GOLD account, so in order to remove it they will: a. cancel the GOLD membership, turning it to SILVER and then 2. remove your credit card and then…… 3. IF there is any subscription time left on the account, they MAY file for a “code” to be generated that you can redeem on the console for the remaining time you have already paid for…….

NOW that being said, it does take them 2 weeks to generate this code for you, there is no happy little elf waiting in the corner who’s sole purpose in life is to generate these codes, IT TAKES time.

People should not have to cancel cards,,,,, pay extra moeny for pre-paid credit cards..this is all extra time and money.. just to get a membership… they need to put this in there agreement statement when you sign up and cant find it anywhere..

shouldnt have to cancel a card.. just to sign up for membership.. IM going to contact my congress and governer.. about how they hord a credit card and the worst is you cant even turn off the auto charges or updates… ..this is strong arming customers.. for money. and they are raking in millions. this should be a class action law suite. I can understand to use a credit card. But when you dont have the option to remove it or at the min turn off the auto updating the account.. this is insane.. and is right out stealing….

Rekon you should just change your card details in xbox online card option, so no payment will be taken.

Xbox Live/Microsoft are scum bags to put it bluntly. After having a heated argument with their cocky call centre manager in the Philippines, and him telling me there’s nothing they can do. I then requested my card be blacklisted as other people on here have mentioned. He told me that he can do that but that means I’ll never be able to use Xbox Live services again… gee, such a big loss to my life. I told him I don’t want to use it ever again. Anyway, he said he will do that but can’t guarantee that it won’t affect the current subscriptions. I told him I’ve paid for it it shouldn’t affect it at all, and on top of that I got charged taxes on top which were never mentioned.

Anyhow, 3 mths later I find new charges to my card from you guessed it! Xbox Live! Absolute pieces of trash I tell you.

If i remove my credit card will my xbox live membership still continue even though it runs out in january
